The Student Athlete Academic Center (SAAC) offers a comprehensive support program which utilizes innovative learning techniques implemented by leaders in the field of education. The SAAC’s various resources accentuate building skills to be successful students, adjusting to the different transitions during their undergraduate studies, and preparing student athletes for life after intercollegiate sports including but not limited to graduation.

FIU’s SAAC is the place where student-athletes are provided with resources to succeed academically, personally, and professionally. The SAAC provides:

  • course advising
  • assistance with major selection
  • subject-specific and general tutoring in individual or group sessions
  • reading and writing development
  • individual academic advising
  • ESOL Assistance
  • time management workshops
  • study and personal skill development
  • personal counseling
  • professional development

The Student Athlete Academic Center and is furnished with over 45 computers, individual study carrels, tutoring space and a comprehensive resource area.
