Q.
Whom does the Academy serve?
A. The Academy serves the entire FIU Teaching
Community---full-time faculty, adjuncts, and
graduate teaching assistants.
Q.
How do I find out about the Academy's programs?
A. All Academy programs are announced via university
email (univmail). The only persons on the mailing
list are those with an FIU email address. Call 305-348-3907 for more information.
Q. What do I need to do to get personal assistance with my teaching?
A. Contact the Academy by phone or
email to set up an appointment.
Q. Do I have to be a TA to enroll in the Graduate Teaching Certificate Program?
A. No. Any enrolled FIU graduate student may
participate.
Q. Does the Academy have programs for adjuncts?
A. Yes, adjuncts can participate in all faculty
prorams and workshops. They can also enroll in
the Adjunct Certificate Program.
Q. What's the cost of participation in Academy programs?
A. There is no cost--all Academy programs are
free to members of FIU's Teaching Community. |
